Combination-study structure
A useful design includes individual-material groups, a combination group, and matched controls. This makes it possible to distinguish independent observations from interaction effects.
Reproducibility
Standardize preparation, timing, environmental conditions, measurement methods, and reporting. Retain batch documentation so later work can identify material-related differences.
